About Me
Welcome!
My name is Matthew and I am a 523 MCAT scorer offering tutoring services to help pre-med students achieve their dream scores. I graduated cum laude from UCLA in 2023 with a bachelor’s in biochemistry. Since graduating, I have been working in the Department of Neurology at Yale University School of Medicine, studying impaired consciousness in epilepsy.
I have seen how the MCAT can make or break a pre-med student’s dreams of attending medical school and I wanted to spend time helping other students to achieve their goals while also prioritizing their own health and well-being.
My approach is focused on achieving the highest score in the most stress-free and efficient way possible. Since I recently took the test while also balancing a full time job, I was forced to learn how to prepare efficiently while also managing other responsibilities. I believe that creating a plan focused on practice questions from the outset and then integrating content review into this practice is the best strategy for achieving these ends.
All of my services are one-on-one and live which means that they are completely personalized to each student and will not waste time reviewing content that will not help you personally!
“Working with Matthew has been an invaluable experience. His guidance has made the process of preparing for the MCAT significantly more manageable. Matthew is an exceptional teacher whose commitment to his students is truly unmatched. He carefully designs individualized study plans and tutoring sessions that address my specific needs, while curating a supportive and approachable learning environment that encourages genuine intellectual curiosity rather than rote memorization. Matthew’s abilities as a tutor have been particularly evident in my renewed approach to studying chemistry. After years of struggling with the subject during my undergraduate studies, Matthew has helped me cultivate both a deeper interest in and a stronger commitment to mastering this field of study. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking an MCAT tutor who makes the process less overwhelming and far more effective.”
